Making Contact
Seeking counselling can be a daunting experience for you but if you are ready to reach out for support then the first step is to give me a call or send me an e-mail.
By Phone:
If you try to call, you will most likely get my voicemail if I am with another client so please leave a message with your name and number and I will try to call you back within 24 hours.
By Email:
If you e-mail me I will arrange a time to speak with you on the phone so I can find out a bit more about you and why you are seeking counselling.
First Session
If after our initial contact you are happy to proceed then I will arrange a first assessment session. During this session we can explore the topics already mentioned in greater depth.
The assessment session will include a lot more questions than a regular counselling session as it is helpful for me to get a well-rounded picture of you and your situation. With this information, we can decide together how best counselling can help you going forward.
If at the end of the assessment session we decide to work together we can agree upon a regular time to meet each week. We will mutually agree a contract that we can revise at any time.
Types of Therapy
I offer both long and short-term counselling with short term usually being 6-12 sessions but this can be reviewed.
If you decide on long-term ongoing counselling we can review this regularly together.
Fees
Fees are £65 per session. You do not have to continue after the assessment session if you do not wish to do so.
I do have some reduced rates for students and those on low income but this must be discussed on initial contact.
